This sailboat is, like its little brother the J 109, intended above all for customers wishing to have a high-performance cruising boat with which it is possible to line up at the start of the biggest regattas.

The J122 E benefits from a new sleek and modern interior and exterior design. These changes were made in collaboration with the firm “Roséo Design”.
Didier Le Moal, Managing Director of “J Composites”: “There is no longer any need to present the J122. It is a sailboat that has proven itself whether for fast cruising or through great race victories. Its nautical characteristics are still up to date but it seemed important to us to adapt the J122 to the times. The exercise was difficult because it is not easy to change the style of an existing boat. The hull, the deck, the structure are identical. For the rest, in collaboration with the firm Roséo, renowned designers in the boating industry, we have reviewed the entire J122, whether inside, with a sleek design (the color of the wood, the linings, a touch luxurious, the bathroom, the chart table) but also outside with, a small revolution for our yard, hull portholes. Above all, it was not a question of making design to the detriment of functionality. The J122 E is simply more modern and will certainly correspond to an ever more demanding clientele”.
Stéphane Roséo: “It's more impressive to start from an existing object than from a blank sheet. First, we studied the different proportions existing inside the boat. Then, we revisited them by working on the ergonomics of the seats, the benches, the chart table... This new interior style corresponds to our observations of everything that is being done in terms of design on, for example, the cars, furniture, houses. The objective of "J Composites" was to modernize the interior of the sailboat. We went for a more contemporary atmosphere, with colors like white, brown brown for the upholstery, walnut woodwork, while assuming that it does not age over time. For the exterior, I quickly suggested portholes to Didier Le Moal. It was essential to have more light in the saloon”.
The J 122 40-foot cruising racing sailboat has one of the most flattering IRC records, whether inshore or offshore.
This sailboat is, like its little brother the J 109, intended above all for customers wishing to have a high-performance cruising boat with which it is possible to line up at the start of the biggest regattas.
There are several versions of the J 122 that can suit each program of use, from the most cruising program to the most regatta program. The J 122 was designed and is built only in Europe but sails all over the world from France to the United States via Turkey and even Papua.
The J 122 is a cruising sailboat in which you can expect to find all the comfort worthy of larger units while offering on deck the most sophisticated equipment suitable for intensive use.
When cruise lovers can opt for the teak deck option, the additional water tank, the sprayhood; the more sailors will be able to choose the high modulus carbon mast, the boom and the carbon steering wheel.
Despite these performances in regattas, the J 122 remains an easily maneuverable sailboat with a reduced crew due to its stability and simplicity.
